Yes, you read it right! A speciality in the Extremadura region of Spain where an agricultural disaster 200 years ago meant they had no wheat/bread or even rice to fill the pork chorizos. So, they tried potatoes. Success. They added a bit of paprika and other herbs/spices and sat down to enjoy it with a glass of chilled wine.
Not something you will find in the supermarkets or even delis. It is the type of thing you find when you drive through remote areas of Spain searching out new products.
